The Loss of Junior College Football

Numerous states have eliminated junior college football. As a result, many high school graduates who are not being offered scholarships to play major college football are having their dreams dashed. Legacy Foundation USA is helping to bring junior college football and post-high school collegiate (P-HS-C) football (commonly referred to as the "Gap Year") back to Arizona and develop the league nationally.


When one hears "junior college athletics," one tends to underestimate JUCO Athletics' impact on a student-athlete on and off the field. The same can be said about the "post-high school collegiate" (P-HS-C) player.

Junior College Football History and Future

Junior college football has over 100 years of history in the Phoenix area and within the state of Arizona. The new junior college football league and the college prep program, commonly called the “Gap Year,” will provide these players with critical life skills, social skills, and athletic and academic advancement.


The first team in Arizona is the Goodyear Wranglers, located in Goodyear, one of the fastest-growing cities in Arizona.

Future Community Jobs

This football league is not just for the athletes; it will also provide job opportunities for general managers, head coaches, assistant coaches, athletic trainers, sports information directors, academic tutors, league employees, etc.


We must continue to find a way to provide our high school students with the ability to continue their education, further their growth, and prepare these athletes for the workforce demand.

Employment and Financial Assistance

Legacy Foundation USA will help athletes find employment while in the program, supplementing their costs and expenses. We must partner with local community leaders, stakeholders, and municipalities to help fund the league and provide the necessary financial assistance to these athletes.

Local and National Objectives

Why should you support the junior college football league? The Local objective for Legacy Foundation USA is to help develop at least ten teams in Arizona.


The national objective is to develop additional teams and Leagues in other states, such as Nevada, California, New Mexico, Colorado, etc.


We need your support to help build and develop teams and coaches and help financially assist these athletes.
